Anything coming from overseas is taking an age at the moment. We've still got the odd Christmas gift (sent mid-November) yet to arrive from family.

Kemper Stage... it left Honolulu earlier today. Scheduled for delivery 4th Feb. Hopefully it will be here in time for my 5-day weekend!

EDIT: it's in Auckland, awaiting customs clearance! :o

CKK Q Cat Envelope Filter pedal, about half the price of the fancy ones and seems to sound really great, hopefully will work out well for Mayer / Frusciante envelope toans...

Just got hold of a Maxon OD808. I've never owned a proper tubescreamer before (this is apparently more TS9 than 808), only tubescreamer-like pedals.

It sounds pretty good over a clean channel, but doesn't play as nicely with a Deluxe Reverb when it's channel jumped (it's the 68 CDR where you can do that) - too middy. I'll keep it, but maybe not use it regularly.

If you don't like middy, you should avoid the green things. Just saying. :D

+1!!! The mid hump is what a tube screamer does, all variants of it!

I'm playing it alone at home and it's a bit ear-fatiguing on its own. I hear the mid-hump is borderline necessary in a band mix though!

Exactly. The tones that work in a band will drive you crazy at home.
