Bit of a punt.
Private sale. FB market place. Seller is in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Here’s hoping it turns up.
If it doesn’t, hope he has a great Christmas.

had been hanging out for some bass nut files, nothing came up so hit the stewmac black friday sale - a set of 5 on its way, still charged like a wounded bull but once in a lifetime purchase ( and way better than winging it with whatever I have to hand )

DJW amp arrived, would have no hesitation putting my fingers or other bits near it ( well they may get heated ) without elecrified 300 volts up my jacksie.
I've not plugged it in yet. I'm planning on a housing anyway though

Nice! The Space Echo stuff is fantastic, give me a yell if you feel like adding a RE-20 to your ever expanding collection
Agree with you about the RS. Wasn’t that long ago you were able to walk in, spend a decent amount and ask for a discount and get at least something taken off. Last thing I bought from there was over $1k and they wouldn’t even give me a set of strings to replace the deader-than-dead ones that were on it

Yeah, it’s a bit of a joke in our local rs, I won’t even go in there anymore.
I was in there not long after lockdown and a couple of the guitars I wanted to play had very rusty strings. A PRS and a Gibson lp, I asked if they’d put new ones on so I could at least play them properly and they said no. I walked out…
Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
Its not just Rockshop. You can get stuff way cheaper from Thomann, delivered to your door, from Germany*, for literally hundreds of dollars less than it would cost you to go into a local music store and buy the same thing.MiniForklift wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:08 pmNice! We get shafted in this country.
*Or at least you could if they were allowed to send the brand you were after to NZ.

Its a shame but online shopping is going to kill local stores - not just music shops. Want a set of strings today - have to wait for shipping.
