I just ordered a Kingsley Juggler Preamp, going to take ten months, I’ll be on a whole other tangent by then…oops

I have a new mk2 and a secondhand mk1. They’re a combination of 3 pedals and actually sound very good. No comment on the builder…NZTone.e wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 9:38 amCheck out Pete Thorn and Brett Kingman’s reviews on the tone of the gods pedal.
Even the name puts me off. He wanted to trade one for my Victory Countess pedal so I looked it up…watching Pete, you really get the impression he’s trying very hard to say good things about it, but is really struggling….
I think Conway has one in his preowned listings…

Might suit a more transparent amp I’m thinking. I don’t do clean, and to me the ToTG into my crunchy amps sounded very compressed and flat. Could be user error too.
I also note the then owner of said pedal is remaining very quiet

It does have a compressor as part of it.... But it probably is better into a clean pedal platform than already crunchy amp.

They look to be very well made. And the dude has spent a lot of time on the design etc. hats off for that.

Maybe, lol. the Harlot is wicked, exactly what I expected it would be, could use a little more mid range I reckon, but the Kingsley demos just sound wicked.
Decided to just build an epic pedalboard around a fancy preamp, rather than bother with amps…unless the perfect amp comes along, or Conway firesells the Carr Mercury V…

The guitar itself is super comfortable and easy to play. Sounds fantastic as well. This one has the HFS bridge and Vintage Bass neck I think it is, 5 way knob selector gives some great tones. Chuffed!![]()
The top really changes depending on the light. A little darker in person I think than as advertised on Ishibashi, which I like. The back is a bit scuffed, but the top is pretty mint - it's 21 years old to be fair. Same year as my LP Classic which is pretty cool I think.
First PRS I've had where I am sure I will keep the pickups as is, they're perfect imo.

Not going to lie - my favourite part of owning that pedal was pretending to be a drug dealer when I dropped it into Grant’s work for him to try.

It was EMS, dunno why it'd make a difference though; the value was still on the box.KNNZ wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 3:55 pm btw did you use EMS or DHL for shipping?

The 4x12 arrived today. It's in much better condition than I expected based on the auction photo that made the cab look all beaten up. Small tear to the grill cloth, but the tolex is all good. Seller needs a better camera.

Is that a Fryette PS2 on the floor? Doesn't look like it being used ...Aquila Rossa wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 11:18 am The 4x12 arrived today. Yep. It gets used. It might be the most useful guitar gadget I ever bought.vyfster wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 6:25 pmIs that a Fryette PS2 on the floor?
