A 1978 Yamaha L-6 acoustic should be inbound shortly for a birthday present to self. Not the LL6 you can buy today, this is all solid handmade in Japan, designed to compete with Martin in the Japan domestic market. Rosewood b/s, Ezo spruce top, mahogany/ebony elsewhere.

I'm rather excited for this old smelly acoustic.

Ordered last Thursday, arrived this morning from Texas. Great communications ftom Mouser. Even text you a 2 hour timeslot for when the delivery will occur.

Didn't realise Mouser ships from Texas so have avoided the tariffs on Hammond transformers about to come in.

Not so impressed with all the plastic they use for the resistors, etc.

Valve amp building will become that much more expensive gents. These two trannies were about nzd 380.

Now waiting several weeks for AP delivery :(

Mouser do free freight on many Hammond Xformers so make up a parcel including one of those. They do charge GST however.
