Very cool. So you going to change the nut and the saddle around to accommodate right handed string order?
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

I'll install a new r/h nut since I play the same Anika Moa does, but no need to do anything else other than the intonation which is pretty straight forward.

I have been gassing for a single cone resonator for a while, couldn't find one at a reasonable price with our dollar being so low and wanting a steel body. Aiersi were no longer making one so was resigned to getting a brass body. Republic have been out of stock for most models for some time but finally got an email saying they had some in stock.
So in the mail next week 12 fret steel body antique (matte) finish. (sorry for the pic quality, had to take my screen)

I regret not having these sooner. I just ordered the same again for my R8. Quick and easy string changes. Tuning is stable. Happy chappy. They don't match the rest of the VOS hardware, but I could care less. I was going to age them somehow, but it's not worth the bother. I didn't need to use the bushing adapters either.

I recently purchased an Epiphone Riviera (2021 model). The Epi tuners were very poor so I replaced them with Gotoh equivalents that fitted straight in to the existing holes. Way better. Gotoh are high quality pieces of kit.

Highly recommend this book for anyone that likes to drool over old Lester's, specifically those from 58-60

Agreed. Recently ordered one of their lightly aged sets, I have no complaints

Been so long since I bought anything I just, almost on auto-pilot, bought a Fender 50s Vintera Tele from Andertons. Big U neck apparently. Looked around TradeMe but prices are fucking incredible. Only paid as much for this as I sold my old Baja for so that'll do.

I think they send via DHL, so it’ll probably arrive before I receive the parcel from Christchurch I’ve been waiting for for 12 days now.Molly wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 5:43 pmNaa.
