Quite the surprise, they arrived today, ordered on the 17th so damn quick, wondering if they came from Australia but no indication on the box, Fastway put their sticker over the label.
Well quelle surprise they are a decent bit of kit. Hard plastic outer which seems quite durable, the jack rotation arm seems pretty strong and no latency I can tell. Would they be suitable for gigging ... debatable, they don't stick out much more than a right angle jack but may not be as strong.
Only tried them on the Starcaster so best positioned as in the photos. The curve is tight, a small rubber pad is on the back so may play better with Strats or Teles.

In mail, in mail box, on bench, in guitar!
Foil pickup in Humbucker size for the pickup receptacle that is my TV Yellow Jnr build. I'm filling its cavity with a plethora of pickup objects to see which sounds like what, given that the guitar etc stays the same. I totally dig the single coil biting attack of this. It's hot by resistance, but not sound...9.2K ish. Excellent clarity and not bright in a piercing way. A little acoustic too...which is funky cool. Best when boosted with something clean and flat EQ.
Only issue so far is the brass post that holds it all together gets in the way of the high E when bending. Will grind that down as flat as I can, as the whole pickup likes to be close to the strings.
Made by Gabojo https://www.gabojo.com (custom ordered - his are normally P90 size). Price not bad.
Packaging was very spesh.

The Keeley Hydra finally arrived on monday! Went from no tracking update for a month to ‘arrived’, ‘forwarded’ and ‘delivered’ in under 24hrs. Haven’t had much time to mess with it but loving it so far.RectifiedAmps wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 3:19 pmI bought it off Reverb. I've had pedals from Andertons and Amazon recently in a week!RectifiedAmps wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 1:35 pm STILL waiting on the Hydra to arrive. Tracking info hasn’t been updated since it left NYC on the 25th. Agonizing, but pretty much par for the course these days.

Does it have ducking on the trem? I'll buy the first trem pedal that does a good job of this.RectifiedAmps wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 10:57 pmThe Keeley Hydra finally arrived on monday! I assume you've tried a few? I didn't realise they do this... not sure if the Flint does this at all. I haven't even tried ducking on the AX8 or Kemper.Molly wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 12:16 pmDoes it have ducking on the trem? Got a pair of Adam Audio T5V monitors in the mail from UK after trying to mix everything on headphones for years and not doing a great job of it.

They're both pretty coloured headphones. Were you EQ'ing them?NippleWrestler wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 1:54 pmA mix of m50x, and dt770s. After years of wanting one I finally pulled the trigger on a Flint. Only took NZ Post two weeks and three phone calls to locate & eventually get it to me.
Haven’t cranked it yet but it sounded good at minimum volume with my ear up against the speaker at mindnight!

The Hydra doesn’t do ducking, nor the Flint I believe. Think you’d have to go to a Pigtronix Tremvelope or elsewhere, according to Google.codedog wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 1:39 pmI assume you've tried a few? Edit: one the other hand, the Hydra DOES do an awesome harmonic trem & vibrato - was mainly interested in standard trem effect but this is a nice bonus!

How do you mean? I'd record my tracks, then mix and master from there. That does involve eq, panning, compression, reverb, fading etc. The problem is the translation from source to source.
