Haha! I YouTubed the drive pedal and all I saw was a bunch of white guys acting like they found some secret sauce recipe! No offense Codedog!

Meh... no offence taken! It's just mildly amusing :D I suspect it's not the only pedal that has a bunch of white guys acting like they found some secret sauce recipe. It's certainly somewhat bouteek, with the appropriate price tag. That in itself will have throngs of people mowing it down. But, none of that is of any consequence to me. I'm a self-indulgent middle aged beige guy. Having said that, I'm coming out of my winter yellow, I'll be quite dark brown momentarily.

Also, I love the design. It's a damn good looking pedal!

It IS an amazing sounding pedal! I was poking fun at myself for buying something with 'elite' in the name. I wonder if that's why fender ditched the line so quickly...

Not yet in the mail, but ordered - REVV D20.

Probably will get punished by the duty tax.

Also, I've ordered a few other bits and bobs that may meet less excitement here: 49 key Novation SL MK3 MIDI Controller Keyboard, MOTU M4 interface, Audio Technica 2020 condenser.

Incoming for the 13 year old daughter. Hopefully, this'll keep the neighbours onside. Must admit tho, I'm looking forward to having a schwang myself...

I bought mine to give the kids another alternative to their devices. Want to give it a go myself, mind. Need a drum stool (which I see they're now calling a 'throne').

Good on you Dad! Interesting piece in the Herald talking about how short attention spans are nowadays. I see it in my youngest and in encouraging the drumming, I'm thinking along the same lines as you. I tell her a few bars is no good and that she has to maintain the beat for several minutes, even up to 10 minutes once she starts jamming out the I IV V progression with Dad.

tl:dr

LOL

An English teacher told me The Simpsons is now edited with much shorter scenes as kids don't have the attention span they used to.

I just want my kids to be busy and interested. Lots of after-school activities etc.
