Not only the postal system. Its every supply network. Crazy cos the roads are still empty once you get past the city boundries. I'm not sure theres a huge increase in volumes. People are cautious about spending right at the mo.

I had an email saying "Status: Sort To on 30/04/20 at 04.16 PM", but on the website it still says "Collected from Sender 29/4/2020 16:03". Estimated delivery is today, 4 May. I'm sure they're run off their feet already but, at the best of times, NZ Post status updates have been patchy. Ah well, I'm chalking this one up to a sign of the times.

The Customer Support page of the Courier Post website just says 'Page Not Found' which suggests they're inundated. My overnight delivery took four days though other stuff sent by regular delivery took maybe three. The courier lady said it's busier than Christmas.codedog wrote:I had an email saying "Status: Sort To on 30/04/20 at 04.16 PM", but on the website it still says "Collected from Sender 29/4/2020 16:03". Some people are cautious. Others are blowing off four weeks of not being able to buy stuff all in one go.Timoes wrote:Not only the postal system. Its every supply network. True that. I'm still waiting on my new escoot. Picked up 2pm Thursday. No movement as yet. Just watched that stunning weekend of 20+ degree temperatures come and go.... Would have been great to be out for a blast since I cant use any of my bikes.

I booked aTM courier this morning. Earliest pick up was Weds so I dropped it off at the depot. Drop off was outside round the back. Loads of parcels, some guitar cases with labels and no one keeping an eye on them. Went inside to check I was doing the right thing and the entire warehouse floor ( which is pretty substantial ) was covered in packages. I wouldn't anticipate getting anything within the time frames we formerly expected.
