Anything associated with Stevie Ray Vaughan or Jimi Hendrix

Anything digital, with a couple of exceptions..

This. As Dan from TPS says, "compression is like overdrive for you clean tone".Darth Sabbathi wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 2:38 pm On compressors: they have always perplexed me, but recently I've been trying to play funk, and I think I'm beginning to see the point? It is really hard to play Brick House and get it to sound consistently good... with a spanky clean sound, I find I have to concentrate so hard on my touch, it's just exhausting. Anyway, I am contemplating getting my very first compressor.
In saying that, the compressor in the Silver Pistol Damn & Blast is the first and only comp I've ever really liked as an always-on pedal. Doesn't take anything away, but tone always sounds better on.
Nothing to see here.

I can’t go Rickenbacker Bass
Not sold on the micro Bass heads or Darkglass pedals
Probably over roundwound strings
Style snob doesn’t like visual lined Fretless

Single cut basses. Even the mega expensive boutique basses, Fodera and the like.
Having said that, I'm not a big fan of boutique basses in general. Ten grand plus for a bass just seems obscene to me. Probably because I can't afford them.

Timmy pedal, everyone loves it! I think it’s ok at best.
And yes I own a real one and have built a few too.
I’d actually take a Tubescreamer over it these days, assuming that’s going into an Edge of breakup amp.
Hate tube screamers into clean amps.

Yeah not a fan of the single cut look but not actually played one
I’ll definitely be getting a proper MTD at some point. Hopefully will be less than 10K
