Dimehead NAM Player

Post by blackstratblues »

Looks interesting, 0.5 - 0.8ms latency which is amazing for a unit hosting a DSP hungry freeware profiler.
As of now they aren't shipping to NZ (I asked) but hopefully soon.

Definitely seems promising, I was pleasantly surprised with the results when I tried it last year

Presumably this isn't anything to do with Dimebag (the guy from Pantera) or Warhead (his signature Randall amp) and the portmanteau is a coincidence?

Like all music, it's context innit. It worked for the band and that's all it had to do. But yeah, in isolation his rhythm tone is godawful. His lead tone was decent enough though.

Oh for sure, I actually like his tone and it works in the context absolutely, it just always reminded me of the distorted tone I got when I was a teen plugging my guitar into some battery powered walkman speakers I had

You presumed correct. It's some sort of anagram using the company founder's names apparently.
Nothing to do with Neural DSP either.
