Dimehead NAM Player
Looks interesting, 0.5 - 0.8ms latency which is amazing for a unit hosting a DSP hungry freeware profiler.
As of now they aren't shipping to NZ (I asked) but hopefully soon.

Definitely seems promising, I was pleasantly surprised with the results when I tried it last year

Re: Dimehead NAM Player
Presumably this isn't anything to do with Dimebag (the guy from Pantera) or Warhead (his signature Randall amp) and the portmanteau is a coincidence?

You'd hope so, he had probably the worst tone in historyNippleWrestler wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:27 am Presumably this isn't anything to do with Dimebag (the guy from Pantera) or Warhead (his signature Randall amp) and the portmanteau is a coincidence?

Re: Dimehead NAM Player
Like all music, it's context innit. It worked for the band and that's all it had to do. But yeah, in isolation his rhythm tone is godawful. His lead tone was decent enough though.jeremyb wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:32 amYou'd hope so, he had probably the worst tone in historyNippleWrestler wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:27 am Presumably this isn't anything to do with Dimebag (the guy from Pantera) or Warhead (his signature Randall amp) and the portmanteau is a coincidence?

Re: Dimehead NAM Player
Oh for sure, I actually like his tone and it works in the context absolutely, it just always reminded me of the distorted tone I got when I was a teen plugging my guitar into some battery powered walkman speakers I hadNippleWrestler wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:35 amLike all music, it's context innit. Re: Dimehead NAM Player
You presumed correct. It's some sort of anagram using the company founder's names apparently.NippleWrestler wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 9:27 am Presumably this isn't anything to do with Dimebag (the guy from Pantera) or Warhead (his signature Randall amp) and the portmanteau is a coincidence?
Nothing to do with Neural DSP either.
