I had one and sold it because it was slightly too limited - even though I don't use heaps of effects, you do want more blocks to have them available to kick on and off. That's something I didn't think of. You still want lots of blocks - even if you don't use a wah often, just to have it ready to go will take up a block.
With the upgrades it would be better, but yeah, stuff paying that much just to unlock what the unit is already capable of. Disappointing.

To be completely fair to Kemper - when they released the Player they said up front that it would be with a tiered upgrade system. All the whining about features locked away inside the software is a bit silly, that's just the way of the world these days.
What I *am* shocked at is the PRICE of the upgrade tiers. At 50% of the cost of the hardware, I definitely won't be upgrading (and don't need to anyway for my purposes).
Maybe on Black Friday.
