Amp Front Panel Repair

They have quoted $300 to reprint it. I'm not sure what to do at this stage, I need to get it fixed as its just getting worse.

Warranty perhaps?

Marshall don't have any spare face plates.

Could you print the labels on waterslide paper, apply them, then clearcoat over them? It'd be easy to find the same font(s).

I am considering this, as not all the face plate needs to be fixed.

There is a place in the UK that can make amp face plates from a drawing or a DXF file, the DXF file option is cheapest I'm just not sure what I need to use to create that file.

I have an aluminium front panel on my amp and the black lettering is wearing off. I have a feeling it wasn't finished properly at the factory as the lettering just flakes really easily, maybe it didn't get a clear coat.

Does anyone know where I could it get re-printed or even a new panel created ? I have contacted Marshall but they no longer have the parts.

I wonder if you could remove all the lettering and then get it laser engraved (given its aluminium)

Could even touch up the existing damage with a fine paintbrush and indian ink or black paint prior to the spray

Go hardcore and get the office dymo label maker out and make some stickers!

I found an App, Front Panel Express that can export to DXF.

I found an App, Front Panel Express that can export to DXF.

I used Inkscape to draw a bunch of stuff for PaulWD's amp designs. Pretty sure it could save as DXF files too.

I thought about that too, but Letraset doesn't seem to exist anymore

You can get equivalents from warehouse stationery and spotlight but they're usually quite large letters and dramatic fonts
