Anyone on the Shore willing to lend me an amp tomorrow evening?

Post by robthemac »

I am doing a wedding rehearsal tomorrow evening and don't have room in the car for an amp (thanks to two kids and a dog).

Does anyone have an amp I could borrow for a few hours? Just for practice with an unmic'd vocalist, so even a 1W would be fine.

I'll be staying in Whangaparoa and driving to Devonport. Will be going through most of the Northern Suburbs.
Collect 6ish, drop off a couple of hours later.

As I will also be staying in Whangaparaoa tomorrow, you're welcome to borrow my little H&K Edition Blue 15W lounge noodling amp.

It's SS, but not a bad little practice amp, if you aren't too cork-sniffery.

Bonus is I really don't give a shit about it, so zero concern about it leaving the house.

Or you could borrow the Greenstone of Doom, but I suspect that would be overkill.

Is that the 100W beastie? I don't know if it would fit through the door of a tastefully renovated Devonport villa...

And I'm sure it would match the rest of the villa too, it is also very tasteful.

I'd describe that as 'early colonial'

Not sure about the castors, can you put a nice east colonial style leg on instead?

I'd probably put it more in the early bogan era, where the castor wheel are more true to style.

I think they're a bit uniform for that era, can you lose a couple and maybe replace one with early mitre10 - preferably a slightly smaller size in black?

Its nice to see something original from that era but, I think we all know, we have to artificially age instruments and accoutrements in order to make a sale.

Rear left should be the missing one, to give that unbalanced feel without knowing the cause immediately. And front right, the different sized one in black.

Shit, I'm overthinking things lol

Do you have anything that can play loud? Not sure that'll cut through an unmic'd vocalist.
