I got £27 delivery to NZ when I had a play with the Anderton's website.
Looks like if you have had something else in the cart with different delivery charges, it holds that charge until you click right through till the button before payment before it updates. But their delivery charges can be weird, micro terror was 27 pound, but the Friedman Mini head that looked like a cool solution to this came up as 155 pound delivery charge!
Weird. I’ve cleared the cart multiple times and it just keeps coming back with £160.99 shipping.
Even at £27 that ends up at $240 NZD- seems like a bit of a dick move to order something from overseas for such a petty saving. I’d rather support the local bricks and mortar stores myself.
$213 (when you take the 20% VAT off). But I get your point and I personally wouldn't bother just for the $50. However I buy from Andertons for their customer service, speed of delivery, and range of product, price is just a bonus.
The last thing I bought from RS - was in stock online and only maybe 10% more than overseas - ordered to pickup from local store. After a week had heard nothing, went into store, they didn't know anything about it and said they'd call me. A week later didn't hear again, went into store, and they said "oh yeah it's coming here, we'll call". Another week, contacted customer service, and they said "it was never in stock, we're waiting for it to come in from supplier". Two months after order, got it. Sorry RS but the hardest thing to do is win back customers when they've had a bad experience.
Andertons in stock - delivered within 3 to 4 business days. Dick move or not - service wins the day for me... (Conway's own Tonelounge, and Toneology fall within the awesome customer experience for me also - if either have what I am after that's first preference!)
