Solved this problem myself by using ampltube with my pedal board in front of it. Works a charm.

Missed my amp, so got a Two Notes Torpedo Captor. That's now always linked to my amp and audio interface. Means I can crank the amp and record or whatever, all with headphones.

So depending on my need, either I use my amp without annoying folk or use ampltube, both without annoying family.

Makes recording easier and also jamming to Spotify, YouTube etc. If your interface has more inputs you can also jam live with ya mates all with headphones on.
