Wouldn't you need to ensure that every amp is seeing some impedance, regardless of where the switch is? Wouldn't want to have a bunch of them fired up for hours without any load on the output...
I don't invisage keeping them on. Just want to be able t quickly flick over without having to unplug speaker cables etc

That is very important and you also need speaker cable, not instrument cable.

Yep you’re right. This is what radials headbone does for two amps to a single cab.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

This looks like it would work for that application. This bit is important “As a precaution, the unused amps see a load.”

Yep. I just wouldn’t trust myself to never make that mistake.

Yep. I had one of those and flicked it when I upgraded to the rack unit last year.

Warren just uses a basic switchbox....

about 2:50
Yup mine is just a patchbay I made from Jaycar heavy duty DPDT switches. It switches 4 amps into 2 outputs. Here’s the schematic if it’s of any help.

The unused amps need to be switched off, this just saves me time swapping speaker leads.
