They're saying the 50w 6l6 combo is about 50% lighter than one with traditional transformer/circuit
Wonder how they sound ?

I spent about half an hour with the EL34 combo and 6L6 head/cab yesterday, some quick thoughts:

- EL34 one imo was quite underwhelming. Second channel needs gain cranked + boost engaged to get into any real kind of useful crunch. Clean channel was a bit meh as well. I think I heard from one of the vids that the clean channel uses an American tone stack so it's kind of stuck in this in between neither here nor there place to my ears
- 6L6 one was really nice clean! Pretty much what you'd expect from an American clean style platform
- For me the SAG power mode is essential, you get more of the feel of normal tube dynamics. I do think that perhaps the switch mode transformer means that the power section doesn't interact with the rest of the system in quite the usual way, but they've tried to design that feel back in with the SAG. Don't know why this isn't always on no matter what power mode!
- I wonder whether it's due to the lightweight candlenut cab material, but at LOUD volumes it started to get a bit shaky/woofy on the head and cab
- They look great! Lol but there was a Morgan head right behind them and it was a pretty clear line as to the design inspiration
