It's a classic for a reason.

I have one of these I may consider selling. You had this with your AC10 at gearfest, JB.

Yes the new ones are "Super" Cubs and are quite different as you've noticed. So you've tried the old regular Cub10?

Find a complimentary amp to my AC10 to run in stereo with it, so something not el84, but with a fender kind of tone…
Do you play clean or dirty?
Are you looking for complimentary or contrast between the two sides of your signal?
Both, prefer a clean amp which I dirty up with levels of OD or fuzz :) I guess I want a complimentary contrast (if thats a thing??) something that imparts a bit of its on flavour on the tone but doesn't step so much on the toes of the AC10.
You're playing at home rather than gigging? If so, a 5 watt amp is all you need. But something tweedy like a 5F1 circuit would work really well. I can't see the point of a stage voiced amp at home, you end up with too many excuses never to use it and it won't sound great throttled down anyway.
Godgrinder's clone sounds ideal.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Ah... I missed this post. Obviously the Cub 10 didn't do it for you.

I had Supro Blues King 12” and that was a cool amp. The Delta King is the same amp I believe.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

10" can be nice and punchy but in my experience 8" in a small cab sucks balls.

Not so much, they seem to have really raised their delivery costs. Still only $700ish though.
