I have the original version. I have never found the 'polytune function' to work in any useful way. (It will show strings out of tune even when individual mode says otherwise)
Lately it has become delinquent: Calling a B string an E, shifting to polytune mode when one string is plucked, even when all the others are muted.
Any experience or insight out there?

Polytune Question
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

My Korg Pitchblack does the same. I have some really nice PRS clip-on tuners coming from the US. Carbon fibre, rechargeable battery, very accurate and when you're in tune, you can have a blue PRS bird appear! Won't be too pricey either.
