30W solid state, mini head, basically a BE-OD with power amp....

:grump: i totally dont get it-you could just get a 30w pedal amp and put it on your board.Is 30w SS actually useful for anything? might as well be 1w :grump:

Heard today that B.A.D. are looking to do a whole range of these from their stable - so possibly Morgan, Soldano etc....

Aaah what the hell is Dave Friedman doing. Spends his time wanking on about how modelers suck and Chewb amps rule and all that because they sound way better then goes and releases this.
Chasing the market I guess.

Definitely seems like a cash grab. Not that he's short of any I'd imagine. Doesn't stop plenty of TGP'ers gushing over it though.

Is it actually a be od pedal into a power amp? If so that would be super easy to diy for about $50.

I believe it is just that
30W power amp is class d. The beod is great for a pedal but this thing just seems like a cash grab for someone who wants something with Friedman on it

I should have patented my first gigging rig then. Tech 21 British pedal, Behringer power amp, Laney cab...

This is the same guy who relabeled a Chinese FRFR speaker and put some fancy grill cloth on it and sold it for 5 times the price...

That FRFR monitor thing got hammered in reviews though. Mostly because it was shit for the price.

I like it, I don’t think I’d ever buy one because as Kris said it may as well be 1watt as I think it’s for the bedroom player who wants it to look like a Friedman head not just be a pedal. Although I’d imagine it makes little difference to cost being 1watt class D compared to 30watts? I’d be surprised if it doesn’t sell well.
