Marshall JCM600
Anyone played/owned one? I’ve got one sitting here I’ve inherited and contemplating whether it’s worth seeing what is involved in fixing it up. The few YT clips I’ve found seem to suggest a pretty plexi sound?

Re: Marshall JCM600
I personally never liked them that much. It’s been a long time since I played one mind you but as I recall it sounded like a smaller JCM900 Dual reverb of the same era.
No doubt their probably sort after rare as hens teeth sort of thing now or soon to be so could be worth the investment.

Re: Marshall JCM600
I think there's a thread on them somewhere on here.
I recall they have more Fendery power tubes (6L6 maybe?).
My only experience with one was that it had a loud clean channel, and a very quiet lead channel, but in hindsight there must have been something wrong with it.

Nothing to see here.

Re: Marshall JCM600
Just realised I was thinking of a JTM30.
The JCM600 demos on YT sound decent enough.
So is yours in working order? Have you tried it out yet?

I’m going to get it at least going and see how it sounds - be silly not to I think. I have that, a 90s UK AC30 and a BadCat Cub iii all in need of attention so could be an expensive month for repairs!

Re: Marshall JCM600
How did you go with the JCM600?
I used to have a 2x12 combo bought new from the rock shop. I loved it but I was more or less a beginner and wasn't in a band at the time, and it was just too loud. I'd love to find one again, my SV20 and AC30 work really well with the Bugera PS1 so Im pretty sure I could tame that 600 these days
