So this morning, I mentioned that the speaker might need reconing due to the cone being old. It turns out its still okay but end of today my luck ran out. I wanted to swap speakers between cabs so my partner said she wanted to try it..... So you can already see where this is going... Well when she lifted the speaker, She was lifting it from the frame and also included part of the cone Imagine the speaker facing you, shes lifting it from the frame and a bit of her fingers were lifting 50% of it from the cone... So now it farts... I'm a little frustrated haha I checked the frame.. No damage, no damage from the cone and coil, could it be that the coil or cone has become unglued? Is there anyway to fix this? That's like $400 gone in a day.
any help would be great!

I have no idea what you're describing, but if it's not sounding good now, yes she broke it.

Have you tried a different guitar lead?

Re: Speaker Issues - Farting
I tried all. The speaker it self is farting haha. it sounds distorted in clean sounds, tried a different speaker, sounded awesome... yes it still farted in another cab lol but it seems It could be fixed without issues. I need to inspect the speaker further and check for any unglued parts.. I will buy a drop in recone kit for the future just in case.
HAHA fair enough I might just do that.. lol

I was having a laugh it's the musicians equivalent of turning it off and on again

sounds like the voice coil got a bit buggered. Livesound did a beauty job repairing one for me. About $110 I think. That was an old Eminence, but I'm sure they will do other brands too.
