Re: Soldano SLO 100 MK2
Ive already seen the gen II circuit and it's not the same as gen 1. It's configured for a little bit more gain but otherwise very similar. Feel wise, the gen 2 has 1 cathode follower, vs 2 on the gen 1. So a little bit different there too.
Any difference in tone or feel will be dominated by those circuit differences, not some magical fairy dust transformer. The gen 2 SLO is actually about dead on the synergy circuit now. Synergy isn't as close to the Gen 1.

Re: Soldano SLO 100 MK2
Just picked up a Soldano SLO-100 myself. Was bloody expensive at $5 for the Kemper profiles - but it's a classic amp, so I splashed out

I have a great helix patch too Stereo without needing two amps.
And with two 12" headrush frfr's, it can make my trousers flap in the wind.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

The Sundown amp cover guy is selling a Headrush. Contemplated it for the Iridium.

be aware the tweeters are a bit pathetic, I upgraded mine. They were both blown by a burst of usb noise. New ones are magic!

oh and with most things pmpo related, they're not really 2000 watts. But they are fucking loud!

at the price he wants for it, if you don't need the cover, you may as well buy new

I'm tempted to sell mine because, studio monitors do the biz for me.

Re: Soldano SLO 100 MK2
I've bought a few things from him so wondered if an outside deal could be had. What would you expect to pay outside of TM including the rather spiffing cover?

Re: Soldano SLO 100 MK2
Part of me wants a SLO mk2 because it addresses the main issue I have with the original....the goddam awful FX loop.
But a bigger part of me loves my SLO original way too much to change.....I've been using it recently along with a Boss WAZA-TAE which, amongst other benefits, renders the amp's FX loop unnecessary.
