Haven't tried. Want to though!

I had a Rectoverb for a few years which actually had a lovely clean tone.

I got a quote from Rockshop when they were first announced - for a baby blue combo, in fact. It was quite a few hundred more than the standard blonde tolex - NZ$400 from memory. I subsequently played one when they arrived here and thought they were pretty good.

But, have a look a some of the amps on my Guitars Rock website - the Tone Kings do the same tones and they are awesome amps. Mates rates for you too!

I'd forgotten how good a Mesa clean can be. Just got an Express 50 from sizzlingbadger and the clean is as nice as it gets.

I played them a few times nothing bad nothing great, if I was spending the money I'd definitely demo the amps Conway has in stock, lots of lower powered tweed flavoured options with the possibility of finding something you might like better than the Mesa.

Haven't played a Cali but played the Fillmore a few times and thought they had GREAT 6v6 tweed tones. Fairly manageable volume as well on the 25w combo.
