Boss Katana 50 Combo - Dead :-(
Hey Guys,
My Boss Katana 50 is dead. If I plug it in and switch it on - nothing happens. No lights, no sound, nothing. Any ideas of what i could do to get it going again? Is it likely to bea fuse or something?

Not sure about fuses, probably not that user serviceable, might be a trip to the rockshop to get it serviced by boss NZ

I assume you've tried all the simple stuff like a different power lead and outlet eh!

Just look in the back, when it's switched on, see what tube isn't glowing and replace it.

yeah I tried it with a few cords etc, and no luck - however I wriggled a guitar cord in the input and it sprung back into life!!!! so I'm all good now - i was so worried it was all over for the poor little fellow~!!!jeremyb wrote:I assume you've tried all the simple stuff like a different power lead and outlet eh!

the "jug cord" plug with mine isn't the tightest fit so sometimes I have to push it in again to get it to switch on

probably best to get the mains socket sorted. don't want sparks inside the little brute, might let the smoke out
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

It was really weird -as soon as I plugged the guitar lead in - it sprung to life. Anyway - so glad that it's all ok now
