Why do people keep selling them though? Read other forums...it's the same thing. There's something to that. I think there's something a little sterile about the reverb, maybe that's it?
Greener grass syndrome. I see it as the splash and wobble from Fender's best amps in a convenient small package. But then again, I only use one setting so what would I know...

I don't feel the need to tone taste reverb but I reckon the Flint is a more natural sound than my Neunaber (which I also like).

Imagine the chaos in the instrument manufacturing industry if musos suddenly became content!

RectifiedAmps wrote: Mon May 31, 2021 11:16 am For me, it’s alot to do with the tremolo-reverb combo. It’s hard to find a versatile tremolo pedal that does the swampy thing plus the cleaner stuttery sounds. I also love the ability to switch the reverb and trem order around, too. Most vintage amps have reverb then trem, but I usually prefer the opposite.
I have one of these: https://www.jimdunlop.com/mxr-tremolo/ paired up with a Boss RV-6, was tempted by a flint but they are just two much money. and this is a way more versatile combination for my needs :)
My amp has verb, so I'm very tempted by one of those too. Its the Harmonic tremolo that I love.
It is a really cool unit, the way the ctrl input is multi purpose being either expression or stereo out etc... way cool... You'd generally want trem after reverb though, can be a bit weird sounding otherwise :mental:

Hi Troy. If the OP doesn't want this (don't want to hijack his thread) I'll take it.

My Carr doesn't have trem and the JTM doesn't have reverb. For me a Flint would kill two birds with one stone.

You can get a new one direct from Strymon for USD$300, so about $420 plus shipping, assuming you don’t get dinged by import taxes. I can understand why they’d fetch a decent price in NZ, but I don’t get all the ebay and Reverb sellers asking NZD$500+
