Electric Acoustic Wanted

Post by shinenz »

I’m looking for a new gig acoustic. I was considering a Cole Clark FL, however after huge research I’m not so as keen.

I tend to play a rock / folk style, I am a hard hitter and certainly open to what may suit. I’ve got an ok budget and could spend 2k+, would rather not tho lol, $1500 feels better.

I’m not fazed by bangs and nicks

My current guitars are an early humpback guild and my trusty thrashed EW zebra wood Ibanez.

I’m starting a 3piece with one on lead/slide/mandolin etc and another on Violin, so I’m needing something reliable , a good sound plugged in ( I write everything on the Guild unplugged)

Any advice/guidance appreciated, and if you have something you think will suit me let’s talk

Prefer full body with onboard EQ etc, but cutaway will be considered

Thanks for reading my novel!

Have a mate with one of those laminate neck, NATO backed Martins. Wanted to hate it but it's the first acoustic I'd consider if I was going touring. Plays well, sounds great and tough as.
If a man says he's going to fix it, he will.
No need to remind him every 6 months.

I have a couple of options you might want to consider...

Where are you based?

If thats an old Guild D25 then you certainly dont need amplification: Those things are cannons.

plus 1 on the Martin x series or maybe an ovation ?
