Wanted: Katana, Spark or similar, Wellington; $300 budget

13y/o niece needs a guitar amp. My sister intends to get a brand new Spark shipped in but hasn’t got around to it. I figured I’d see what was out there before she does so in case better options exist.

Yamaha THR10C? I'm thinking about upgrading mine.

Good question. I've not had that model before. I had the yellow version and it was fine but clearly not as good as the newer version which I now have. I'll look it up on the net and have a chat with her (maybe send me a PM re what price too). I think I'd recommend the Katana or Spark options ahead of the THR based on my past experience, but still options are all good!

Yeah, I suspect the Spark with its million tones and iOS app probably appeals to a 13y/o. The Yamaha is really ideal for a set-and-forget, almost exclusively clean player like me.

Ideally like $350 for the THR if it is a contender.
