Still on the hunt.
Doozy

Sheraton
Gretsch
In terms of pickups im kinda not a standard PAF/humbucker sort of guy. Tend to prefer something midway between a standard humbucker and a single coil like p90, filtertron, mini hum etc . But happy to look at anything as there are all sorts of drop in replacement pickups now in HB size.
Thank you

Yamaha SA30 with Dimarzio minis. Oh wait, no Yamaha in your list.

No I just dont like the neck feel on the Sa 30 / 50 guitars to be honest. And the trems I cant get to like so much for my style of playing.
The pickups I do agree sound good.

What’s the view on Dooz buckers? Like PRS pickups I just can’t make them work for me. That same sort of sterile or piezo type tone thing going on.olegmcnoleg wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 10:59 amIndeed, I'm just sad I can't have a neck P90 and a neck humbucker in the same guitar. The closest I've come is a set of P-rails. The Doozy P90 is just a fantastic neck pickup.

I agree- they’re not my cup of tea. I tried a few different duesenberg pickups and found the same thing with all of them.GrantB wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:25 amWhat’s the view on Dooz buckers? Mine absolutely rules with gold foils. Quite keen to try some Glynn p-90s in it.

You won't be disappointed, the Strat pickups I have from him make any amp sing, absolute perfection for the tone I was dreaming for!
