WTB: Semi decent / gutted / project LP

Post by dayl »

Hi,

I can't shake it. I need, at some point in time, to own a single hum LP with a wrap-around bridge. Its pretty much all Im gassing for in guitar juice at present.

If you have any old project guitars that have seen better days but could be saved, or just a good ol fashioned kiwi bargain, sing out... help keep the dream alive.

Budget is around $300-$400. I'm looking for something reasonable that needs a fair amount of work for that price

The fixup and mod to my specs it where most of the fun is for me. I feel funny about getting something in good nick and wrecking it.

come on guys... I know there are old lps in parts sitting in a shed or cupboard somewhere...

you're thinking 'one day' or 'I'll just finish this other project first'

It wont happen... you know it... its been years. Its time to liberate that old project LP

Given the glued neck/body scenario, a good LP is unlikely to be parted out....unless there’s something wrong with it. Or are you thinking say, an Epi LP Jnr? I’ve seen the odd P90 Jnr around the $1K mark....maybe that’s a good option, and then route it?

Thinking of gett ing an EC401 or similar. Not really fond of the 50's cut. Cheers though mate.
