FS: Bananana Effects Tararia - Arpeggiator sequencer

Post by MattAnt »

Received this in a trade, in mint condition with box. $470

Seems to be a very interesting and quirky arpeggiator pedal, reminds me of the weirder Chase Bliss stuff. An instrument unto itself, especially with the touch capacitive buttons. Glitch mode and Toybox look particularly interesting.

I feel someone far more creative or into soundscape stuff would get more use out of this than me!

I quite like that!

Nice demo here

Tarariras (with an "s" on the end) is a tiny flyspeck of town in Uruguay where the bus stopped and we had no money and that was funny as so I like the name. It's was a bit of a family joke.

The only thing I don't like is that, being a pitch shifter, it has that strangled-cat pitch shifter sound. At least on most of the examples on the demo. But it's pretty impressive!
"Vince, have you ever tried playing an expensive bass?" - Polarbear.
"And isn't that the finest acoustic bass guitar feedback solo you've ever heard?" - Billy Moose.

Yea there are lots of bad demos out there, a few good ones. This one is quite musical. https://youtu.be/PCr2JqZBMzw

I think to not get the sound you are referencing you need to be more careful with the mix than most demos are showing. Though I have seen some cool bit crushed and other interesting sounds out of it.

I looked at the manual but didn’t think I found anything about changing key. Does it change key at all? Does every note just start at 1

I am pretty sure everything scales off the note you play, but not 100% sure
