Expressions of interest - amps and pedals

Post by MattAnt »

Hey all

Getting ready to do a big cull and it might sway what I keep if I know what people might be keen to buy... My playing situation now demands much lower volumes than I am used to so needing to adapt accordingly.

I can get together pics and prices, but as a start here is what is potentially on the chopping block.

Amps/Cabs

Dr Z - Z Wreck
- Based on the infamous Trainwreck, and developed in tandem with the original creator Ken Fischer. This is the limited edition blue model with alnico gold, brake lite factory fitted, and custom Studio Slips cover. In shop floor mint condition, just had all new tubes installed as per original spec (nos 6P14P-EV poweramp tubes), and has recently been serviced by Clarry.

Goodsell Super 17
- Every time I plug in I am suprised by how loud this is amp is. It is so small and light but throws a sound bigger than it has any business doing. Great master volume though so it can be tamed.

Jackson Ampworks Scarlett 30 (head)
- I originally sold this and kicked myself ever since. Probably the best AC30 tones I have ever had, all in a portable small head format. I wasn't prepared for how loud it was as I used to run it in an iso booth out the back. Tempted to keep it and run it through a reactive load because it sounds so good.

Vox 2x12n (night train cab, celestion g12h30's)
- nice little compact cab with a lot of punch. Can be run in horizontal or vertical. Vox logo is gone.

Vox 2x12 (alnico gold + creamback)
- This is a magic pairing of speakers. By far my favourite. If I keep my heads I will keep this, but I am gravitating towards combos at the moment.

Pedals

Mathew Effects The Architect (klone)
Neunebar Stereo Slate (wet)
Arc Effects Klone v2
Klon KTR
JHS Kilt v2
JHS Morning Glory v4

Goodwood Audio Underfacer and RMT remote
Chase Bliss x Benson Automatone Preamp mkii
Cornerstone Gladio
TC Electronic Ditto Looper

I would suggest a 5 watt Tone King Gremlin (with built in attenuator - yes, it is needed) for Fender blackface and tweed tones. And there a couple of things there that we could do a deal on... Automatone for starters.... :D

The Goodsell is an mk4 (latest), let me have a think on price. This one is small and portable and the master vol is pretty good so might be ideal for me, but I do have an AC15hw that is covering similar (but different) ground.

Oh and yes I did sell the Princeton sorry.

Wow, that is an impressive collection of amps & pedals.

I have an AC4 HW (combo) with an alnico blue, if you want to stay Voxy but get small and quieter.

I’ve actually got the big brother 15hw and it is the best performer at the volume I’m running, really impressed with its master vol. I’m looking for a second amp to pair with it. Good offer though thanks!
