Yeah. My mate has a head and matching 4x12 with the same wicker grill cloth that he picked up in a cash converters in Dunedin ~25 years ago for like $800. I've been hounding him for DECADES to sell it to me. No dice..... :(

Had one of these and it was just what the doctor ordered. Not as good as a Jose modded superlead though.

Is that a 1985? I've got the 4x12 with the same speakers in there and they're great.

Yeah. Serial starts with a T. Which is curious, because the general feeling is that the circuit was improved in 86, but this is the improved circuit. Maybe they were using up a bunch of older stamped chassis......

It was the speakers that led me to the year. I think they changed the T75 design from the vented backs to a solid disc there around 86.

They're such good speakers. A world apart from the T75 of today.

Yeah, amazing how different they sound. The early Marshall V30’s are the same - amazing thick midrange!

There's an JCM 800 quad on TM from '89 that I bet sounds lovely. Would that have the old T75's also?

I have the same amp but has been converted into a head. What were the circuit revisions? I hadn't noticed that

It will but they'll likely be the non-vented ones. Or it might be this style which popped up during the late 80s also:

Looking at ebay's sold listings, the last vented T75 sold for $230. That's a bit nutso.

Earlier version typically had less gain, sounded more “anemic” and had channel bleed (you could hear a low level of distortion from the gain channel when playing the clean channel). The circuit revision was substantial - so much so, apparently it’s not easy to mod to later specs.

Easy way to tell which version you have is to pull V2 - if the clean channel dies, it’s the updated version.
