FS: Zonk Machines! Prices dropped
Need to start selling off some of my pedal builds as they are pilling up around me!
This is a Zonk Machine mk2 fuzz with silicon BF337 transistors.
It’s a great circuit which is halfway between a Tonebender mk1.5 and Fuzz Face circuit. It’s defiantly in that territory sound wise, but it doesn’t have the flubby bass of a fuzz face and it is smoother than a Tone Bender.
Volume knob on outside, 5k trimmer for gain and 20k trimmer for bias of Q2 on inside.
I’ll do a sound clip tomorrow.
$80
Up for sale now is my other Zonk Machine build, this is a true point to point wired one with some old components where suitable for extra mojo!

Re: FS: mini 1 knob fuzz
It’s the exact same circuit as this one but this has slightly different transistors so would sound slightly different.IMOCD wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 8:44 pmReg18 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 8:14 pm Need to start selling off some of my pedal builds as they are pilling up around me!

Re: FS: mini 1 knob fuzz
I love simple pedals, been hankering for Mythos Golden Fleece. Would love to hear how this one sounds! That 2 knob one sounds great!

Re: FS: mini 1 knob fuzz
Video coming soon, I compared it to a couple of other Zonk mk2s I’ve built and it has a little more bass but very similar.
I played the demo with a Les Paul
But tuned the pedal with my Tele originally so it sounds big and ballsy with a LP
Demo coming shortly

Re: FS: mini 1 knob fuzz
This is a germainium version I built with a germainium Lovepedal Tchula boost going into it on the other footswitch, I like this combo!
Originally the Zonk came in a similar thing called a Shatter Box which included a Treble booster on a seperate footswitch. I took the same idea but used a tchula boost instead converting it to germainium so it could work all together nicely. Sounds cool too!
Re: FS: mini 1 knob fuzz
I like this one too. Being germanium, does it clean up well?Reg18 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 12:25 pm

No more than the silicon one TBH, they both clean up pretty well.IMOCD wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 12:39 pmI like this one too. Being germanium, does it clean up well?Reg18 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 12:25 pm

Re: FS: Zonk Machines! Got 2 for sale.
Added another Zonk mk2.
I also have a mini Super Hard on boost made from a Tate’s kit which could be for sale too.

Re: FS: Zonk Machines! Got 2 for sale.
My favourite Zonk build so far. I love how tight it sounds with my compressor on before it, a great rock/fuzz sound!
Sounds more raw without any pedals before it but I like it this way too! Bias doesn’t work as well with pedals before it though, might be just how it is.
