Buying a House sale

Post by SimpleSi »

Hi all,

Been a while since I've last posted.

I've since managed be get divorced from a delightful Cheaty McCheater. And now very happily remarried.

the wife and I are unconditional on a house - we move December 4th. But we're having to dip into the "borrow from family" accounts to make up the last few % to get 20% deposit etc.

So I'm putting up a couple things I've listed in the past:

Rimu/Ash top Telecaster (semi-hollow inside) - $1700 Firm + Postage or free pickup Hamilton
I've recently put a Duesenberg trem on it and it's glorious. - Comes with Hard case.
Pictures besides the one below, are from JUST after I finished building it, so it's a lot more satin now (tru-oil)
DiMarzio Area T set, with 4-way selector and treble bleeds

Somewhere in the depths of this page is the build process of this.

Matrix GT1000FX 2U Power Amp - $1000 Shipped or Pickup Hamilton

Ryan/Ampshop built Head and 2x12 cab. $1800 firm - Pickup only or VERY expensive shipping
12AX7s and 6V6 tubes, Tweed dirty section and Tube Tremolo via footswitch
Cab is 2x12 based off orange 2x12 dimensions, G12H and Alnico Gold drivers. both with Canvas covers I made.

We're shy about 3-4k to make the 20% without borrowing. So this is kind of a last ditch effort before settlement.

Also considering selling my Walnut/Mahogany Duesenberg caribou copy I built - probably one of the best I've made to date. I'd have to sell it for $2k
All Doozy pickups and wraparound bridge. Comes with actual Duesenberg Caribou case. 2x push/pull pots to coil split both pickups.

Oh! I was a long while ago, but it's my last Doozy, so it's a keeper at the moment haha.

I should probably remove it from there.

Yep you're not wrong.

Sold it to a friend who was pining over it.

Plus it helped towards the house

Is this still a two year process? Or do you have a life hack to share. Asking for a friend...
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

And yes still 2 years. And if they come back saying things have changed and you find out later they haven't, still take it from the initial point of departure.

Also even though its 2020 with equality and all that jazz men still get crapped on when there's kids involved.

You can also shave off 3 months for "reconciliation"

I was lucky because she was not smart. Lied on an affidavit. Caught out.

I'm primary caregiver for the kids according to the govt.
