SOLD: PG Spark 40

Post by sizzlingbadger »

As new, about 5-6 hrs use. Not even registered it online yet. This is the True Historic version I bought directly from Gibson, complete with mis-matched CoA certificate.

$400 inc shipping.

Potentially interested as a holiday-home amp. But before I commit to it, was the sound ok or a bit shit? How does the sound quality compare to say the katana or a THR?

Sound is great, at low volumes in my office it sounds as big the Katana Artist. The Tones are nice if you create your own presets, playing music through it is also really good. To be fair I will miss the Two Rock preset I created, it was awesome with my Tele.

I was not a fan of the THR amps when I tried them in the shop.

There are a couple more owners on the forum so get their perspective too.

Has a bit more depth to the tone than the THR I had did, sounds pretty close to the katana too :)
