STOLEN- Fender Strat, Ponsonby

STOLEN GUITAR 21/05/23 - Fender Strat, Kelmarna Ave, Ponsonby

Absolutely gutted, please keep an eye out and get in touch if you see a Fender American Elite Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker - Ocean Turquoise w/ Rosewood Fingerboard maybe still in its Black Fender molded case.
(The photos show the guitar brand new, it is a little greener and the pick guard is a little more yellow with age as indicated in one of the photos. It also has two slightly corroded screws at the top of the pick guard.)
It was stolen with everything in it, may still have its black and white striped/starred strap (with locks), silver shubb capo, picks, certificate of authenticity, whammy bar.
The case has a dickies sticker, a "Ragaire" band sticker and a "fingers" sticker on it. and a piece of masking tape with Bella (and maybe Coast Arcade)
It was stolen from Kelmarna Ave just by Jervois road in Ponsonby last night. I've had my baby for 7 years and gig with it regularly yet it still doesn't have a scratch on it, that's how much I love this guitar!
What a way to celebrate a release weekend, gutted!

That sucks! Hope you are able to track it down. Have you sent photos to cashies/dollar dealers etc in case it shows up there? Keep an eye on facebook marketplace as well.

There's some video of the guy on their Facebook post. I'm trying to make out the logo on the back of the guy's shirt but am having a hard time deciphering the 6 pixels into something meaningful but if any of you guys are on FB, cast your eyes over it. It could ring a distant bell.

All I can make out is it's red and white.

What are these apple ear tags I hear about? Basically little button shaped things with GPS tracking? Would be good to get those for our guitar cases.

Looking at the video I think I can see a Shell logo on the arm, so possibly some sort of motorsport or automotive related jacket?

I wonder if it'd interfere with the pickups in any way. Anyway, I'd thought the same thing. I think there have been instances of people tracking-down their devices to an address only for the police to fail to act. That'd be frustrating.
