An old friend of mine who I used to work with had a trailer stolen from a lockup in Te Rapa, Hamilton last night.Unfortunately it contained pretty much all of his bands gear. He's offering a 10k reward for info leading to it's safe recovery. There was a serious amount of gear in there....

Yeah, he seems to think the thieves were after the trailer and probably didn't know the gear was inside.

The only way to get access to those places is through the front gate, typically via card. Surely that would be logged in the system (who/when), and CCTV footage of the perps too.

Yeah that was my thought too. The trailer looks like a white horse float too so would be easy to see on any traffic cameras.

Makes you wonder who was casing the place or knew of the trailer contents.

Was it a targeted grab of the trailer?

Wonder if any other storage units were hit.

Must be someone known or at least within a few degrees of separation.
