as promised to xcaptianx I finally have a demo up on soundcloud, it was fairly difficult as I couldnt find loops on reaper so had to switch between my mac and pc for drums.

Made this over the weekend, started out taking the piss, but it actually turned out to be quite fun!

Ruby frost has put up her stems for people to remix one of her tunes, so I had to make a cheesy metal version, didn't look like anyone else was going too!

I got sick of it late this afternoon, and couldn't be bothered messing around with the compression so the mix is a little quiet .. hard case all the same, especially the pentatonic riffing in the lead break!

Yup that's just via USB into reaper, and EZ Mix on all tracks. ENGL guitar EZ Mix vst preset to be precise. And 4 tracks of my IDR D.I patch. I'd usually spend a bit more time and tweak the tracks a bit more (maybe less gain, and more mids on two fo the guitar tracks) but I was in a rush and more siked on getting an idea down, rather than nerding out with recording stuff.

I know NOTHING about recording, so EZ Mix is a godsend. Just chuck it over tracks, do a basic mix, and chuck a basic 'master' ez mix over the master track an I'm done

I stopped being lazy and remixed my remix, sounds proper now, a shame I'm too lazy to go back and re-record the sloppy bits!
