Benderissimo Showreel pieces

Post by bender »

Hey fullahs and fullesses, I just found this on the interwebz and thought I'd share it (again- haven't been able to embed it until now).

I'm really proud of the work I did on it (everything you hear in it) so there :P

I don't usually like to blow my own trumpet but dammit I'm going to anyway.

Is that keyboards or some sort of pedal? I didn't know you could play keys too? :D

Great work, where do you source all those sounds, some sort of foley library or something? I once heard a sound effects LP way back in the dark ages.

Bit of both. The first piece is supposed to be a nod to Wendy/Walter Carlos. It's ALL guitar apart from the single theremin line and some bastardised sound effects. I played the hammond parts in the later bits though.

Here's my most recent effort. It has the Ash Wide-Range Benderbucker all over it (commissioned especially for this project). I just did the music on this one, not the sound effects.

There was a Once Were Warriors piece for this too but it's not licensed for the youtube clip so we went with the odd Benny Hill version of the theme music.

I have a huge sound library but also record foley as part of my job.

All of my work was done here at Marmalade Audio in Wellington.
