Yep gold is the may.
It looks good with tort, but just too matchy matchy and it makes the offshore look stark. Gold warms it all up and keeps it a bit more kooky.

If I'm being picky, that printed tort looks a bit average on such a cool guitar. It deserves some really nice tort like this stuff:
