A friend asked me to do a partcaster for him.

Crimson body (recontoured) Ash
crimson neck Baked maple
Mojotone electronics
wooden scratchplate and backplate
GFI stainless steel Trem
Gotoh locking tuners

Lovely!

BIG fan of roast maple! Put one on a meh that I could never quite get right, turned it into a f#ck yeah!

Did you bother finishing the neck?

yes. I did laquer on the fretboard and oil on the back. Only 5 coats.

Normally. I got this unfretted so I could laquer more easily...

Unless I'm dense and missing the joke I think it's referring to Crimson Guitars out of UK, who sell guitar kits and luthier tools.

Hmmm, because the guitar was NOT crimson coloured I googled it (thinking perhaps that Crimson was a wood species). I might have got that wrong (I see now it is a Minecraft species). My bad it seems :oops:

they're basically stewmac for the rest of the world. Though they will both try and sell you tools you don't need and may only use once.
