Great skills. Most Gibson fans watching this will have died at the 5:13 mark when they realise this "59" has a scarf joint.

What I learned from that video is that it takes 25 minutes to build a guitar! :D

Great skills! Awesome looking guitar! Anyone know what he used on the body to make it pop like that?

I learned a lot about painting guitars from this guy. He has a great Strat build series.

great programming and a very well equipped workshop.

Great finishing skills too.

I wouldn't mind a CNC for bodies...but I really enjoy neck carving!

I doubt if Gibson had any of this amount of machining available to build their 59 LPs...

Despite the obvious workmanship and CNC skills, where is the nostalgia in this build?

Give me a real 59 anytime
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

The irony is he could have done WAYYYYY more with the CNC on this build...

lets not forget that if you want absolute accuracy to a design then CNC is the best solution.
If I was interested in a commercial building operation I would absolutely be wanting to do as much a possible on CNC in order to get consistence and repeatability - not to mention speed.

I don't criticise any commercial builder for using the tools that make the most business sense.
