Id rather have something that nothing so ill probably put it on but not coat it with anything so I can remove it later if I change my mind or find something better. Assuming its possible to remove a warerslide decal without affecting the nitro?

Should be ok. I’ve made my own decals in the past and they stuck well but came off a nitro finish without damaging anything.

Just didn't do it for me. Completely and totally lacked any
'feel' for want of a better word. I mean it was perfect on paper and each individual component was great but the sum ws less than the total of the parts for some reason.

Make your own. Get quirky . Breath some fumes etc

Depth of neck pocket can be an issue. Randomly sourced necks and bodies don't always play nice together.

Yeah that's the bit that makes me the most nervous.
Hoping with a Allparts neck and a MJT body it shouldn't be too bad tho.

You'd think so, eh? I've had problems and had to make shims etc. PITA. What about sourcing the stuff from that place JB used? It's like a scrap yard for Fenders.

Or fuck it off and just buy from Andertons. Might find that there's one that fits the bill and it'll likely be a good bit cheaper than NZ prices.

Which brings me back to my original problem of not being able to find what I want in my price range. Was keen on a 2nd hand MIM classic series 60s tele with rosewood board, but could not be had for love nor money.

Allparts are fairly consistent on neck heel sizes.
MJT claim to be the same on neck pocket.
Both claim to stick to vintage specs.
Thanks to CNC tech, I like your chances of a good fit.

I think you’ll be very unlucky if the body and neck don’t fit together properly.

If it’s too clean now, it won’t stay that way for long. MJT finishes are very soft. It should check more and wear pretty quickly.
