If you're going for a trainwreck of a body, then it might. Otherwise, nah no stress.

Not a fan of the heavy relic stuff. The lighter / closet classic does look good tho.
I'd happily get a new body, but the Fender MIM replacements start at $250US, plus postage, plus tax. Adds up.

The neck will look fine, then.

If you can live with it, that's all that matters. It'll look fine on a 'closet clean' body. I think it's worth knowing, though, that MJT finishes tend to be very soft. They're intended to crack and dent and generally relic pretty quickly. So, even if you get a 'closet clean' body, you should be sure you're commited to the relic look, because it'll probably end up that way sooner rather than later. As I recall, the finish on those necks is pretty light, so you'll probably get a similar rate of wear.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy custom decals?
I could buy a proper Fender one, but it wouldn't feel right.
Want something that looks close from far, but isn't the real thing. Kinda like a tranny.

Have all the parts except the body. MJT emailed to say its in the final stage of production.
I installed the tuning heads so far. Made sure the bushings were tight but not too tight. Sanded out the holes a bit and used a G clamp to push them in. Worked a treat.

Next job is to apply the waterslide decal to the headstock. I'm still a little unsure about the one I got. The font is not as close to the Fender logo as I'd have hoped. What do yous fullas think?

Like the decal.
And thanks for putting the tuners in straight. Every second hand partscaster I've bought has had crooked tuner placement.

Looking great — except for the decal. I hate Brush Script. It’s an awful font and the default choice for bad homemade faux-Fender logos. Never fails to make otherwise nice guitars look nasty.
But it’s not my guitar, so do what you like.

Yeah it wasn't quite what I was hoping for TBH. And the annoying thing is you can download the actual Fender font free online.
Id rather have something that nothing so ill probably put it on but not coat it with anything so I can remove it later if I change my mind or find something better. Assuming its possible to remove a warerslide decal without affecting the nitro?

Depth of neck pocket can be an issue. Randomly sourced necks and bodies don't always play nice together.

Yeah that's the bit that makes me the most nervous.
Hoping with a Allparts neck and a MJT body it shouldn't be too bad tho.
