Post by werdna »

Innocent thread topic having nothing to do with anal cramming. Wondering if any of you can give advice on where to find small diameter dowel to file screw holes fixing a tele bridge on a guitar body.

Mitre 10 Mega had a bunch. Theres packs of wider one cut to about 1cm and fluted, or really long unfluted dowels of narrower diameter. I used the latter, cut them to size and fluted them with a craft knife.

I set it up with "filling holes" and JB does not give a response that makes our gentle and sheltered readers' faces blanch. I will frame this post.

Toothpicks if we're talking tiny, pickguard-size screw holes.

Can put a bigger dowel in a drill for a makeshift lathe and quickly file something to size too

Usually when I fill a hole in a neck with my wood it's after I've cut their head off.

Is that better????
