How did your ferrule installation with a hand drill and no patience go?

To be fair, that is a quim of a job. Even with a drill press.

I've thought about making a proper steel template, then thought, nah, its the back of the guitar bro - no-one looks at that.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Getting myself one of these string ferrule blocks for my tele build (from BTN music). If you stuffed yours up, it might be an option?

There are cheaper versions of the same thing around as well.

Oh mine are completely fucked. Comically so. The rest of the guitar looks great though, so it really needed something amateurish.

I'm going to do an eye-catching maple backplate to distract from the war crime that is my ferrule work.

Here's a photo of the front, anyway.

I may have been more accurate with a drill if I weren't also meant to be supervising a baby while the wife was out shopping.

I've seen some phony guitars, but that one's ferrule.

Nah, you need to drill from both sides, with a drill press, to get good results.... its a rite of passage thing.

Looks great!

That strat is crying out to be plugged into an AC30 and have Bombora played on it.
