Jake Hunter
Heres something I made about 6 weeks ago. Most of you probably don't know but George Lynch makes his own guitars (called Mr Scary guitars ...... https://georgelynch.com/mrscaryguitars.html ). They are very cool but also VERY expensive...so given I am a cheap son of a bitch I though fuck it just make one myself. So I saw a model he does called the "Snake Hunter" and figured given that I have a thing for snakeskin why not make one of those? .. I call mine the Jake Hunter (because of the angled pickups)
body wood is Blackwood, neck came from Airdad ... tone zone in the bridge and 2 duncan quarter pounds. It is pretty dark sounding but in a good way

Re: Jake Hunter
Actually thinking maybe JB could 3D print me a snake head for the volume knob so I can ditch the skull knob?

That's pretty great. And I thought this thread was going to be alt the latest strat-playing blues hero that I'd never heard of.

Re: Jake Hunter
Nice guitar, i found Tasmanian Blackwood to be a very dark sounding timber too, needs to be matched with some bright pickups

Re: Jake Hunter
yes and the Tone Zone isn't really a good choice to use either, but I worked on the theory that my main tone is pretty bright and most of my other guitars are also in the zone (so no LP's here haha) so something Dark works well for me
