The frame is made from heart Rimu planks that I bought back in 1995. Was going to be a large dining table but never eventuated. Couldn't be bothered making proper head and tail boards, so bought 18mm thick furniture ply to which the rimu is screwed on.

Contemplated of sawing and planing the slats myself, but in the end kwila palings from bunnings won out. Saved hours of work.

I rather build guitars than beds :D

Another project I finally got onto over the weekend.
The Flagelicious by Electric Druid. Analog flanger using a BBD chip. Worked first pop (always a great feeling!!) and sounds glorious.

Nice! Love a good flanger, be interested to hear a demo when you have a chance. I got a LFO chip from the druid for my trem pedal, he's a clever dude

Finally getting around to some shed time. Swapping three sets of P90s around two PRSs. Put the BKs in the ex-Oleg black, fixed bridge one, and am putting the Seymour Duncans back in the trem one. There'll be a pair of Tone Riders left over when the dust settles.

At this rate I might even fit the Wiz pickups from Grant into my 335. Must be going on six months they've been sat on my bench.

Currently on my work bench is an old squier bullet strat body that was arctic white, and now has 3/4's of the paint sanded off. The original plan was to sand it down to reveal the wood grain. I discovered after sanding most of the front that it's probably a 6-7 piece body, and the joins look awful with the differing grains... I should've known with it being a cheap guitar. It's been on my work bench for about 2 years now.

The new plan (when i summon the motivation) is to paint it black.

Wow, that many pieces huh?
At some point you'd think the effort to stick all that timber together would be more costly than just getting larger pieces in the first place?!

I'm soon going to start painting a little project that has been in the pipeline for a while. Ordered the nitro cans last week. Then this comes up as a YouTube ad today:

Colours created/chosen by Play It Strange entrants to reflect something about their music, life or culture. Think it would be awesome to have a guitar painted in one of these colours. I quite like the dark blue and the lilac!

Ah well, for the next project.
