I should add that it had an original pair of Dimarzio PAFs fitted, the first series they made I think. Which it turns out are now in demand again. So I might get a few dollars back also
That’s because DiMarzio’s PAF style pickups from way back are great! Are these the brass bottomed versions?
Nice guitar, congrats.

Wasn't happy with the last swirly paint effort on this pedal, so I had another go. This time primed and painted before doing an acrlyic pour and clear over top.
Looks like tequila in a teacup
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Cheers Grant and yes, brass bottomed DiMarzios.

I had just enough energy today to press the shutter a few times
Dirty body?
Pulling it all apart. Refretted with medium jumbo frets over the Christmas weekend as I like being a grinch
Needs new pots and wiring. The old pots are corroded whitish, who knows where this thing was stored...
All parts cleaned thoroughly!

Here are a few teasers of whats on my Bench...I love Christmas breaks!

Lots of cool vivid colours, but more importantly the cans have great pressure and the paint comes out in a nice fine mist. Goes on really smooth and is easy to control. Cheap too.
I've seen some pictures of guitars painted with this stuff and all looked great.
Forumite-built guitar on my workbench. Thinking about doing a waterslide decal on the (metallic purple) headstock. Figure I should decide before I spray clearcoat.
Anyone had decals printed in NZ? Or is there another way to put a decal under clear coat?

Whatever you do, please don't use Brush Script.
Don't worry, I went for Wingdings.

Had a weird noise issue with the Astoria, found dry solder joints on the PI tube, so re-flowed all the socket wiring. I blame the lead-free solder they have to use these days.
